President's Message by Don Rima

Greetings....

Well, I said we would be trying hard to make up for lost time in the first part of the year due to speaker conflicts with the release and we're doing a good job at making up for lost time.

We have Linda Hirsch from the IBM Rochester Lab giving us a full day presentation on iSeries Access on subjects like:

  • Get to the Web Fast with iSeries Access for Web
  • iSeries Access for Web - Installation and configuration
  • iSeries Access for Web - Control access to your resources
  • Running 5250 in a browser
  • iSeries Access for Web - Tips and Techniques
For our evening WAM meeting, Linda will be covering: iSeries Access Family - What's NEW? The iSeries Access Family of products offers the best end-user connectivity products in the marketplace for System i customers!  An overview of the newest products and latest enhancements in existing products, including V5R4, will be covered.  Come to our WAM meeting to learn:
  1. What is new in iSeries Access for Windows.
  2. The latest enhancements in the iSeries Access for Web product.
  3. The native iSeries Access for Linux client.
  4. A brief introduction to iSeries Access for Wireless
A quick heads up: This month's meeting will be at the University of Maryland's University College Conference Center. This is the same place we have hold The JAM.

Please mark your calendars for JAM-2006 which will be held on November 10 in College Park and featuring a luncheon keynote talk by IBM iSeries General Manager - Mark Shearer.

See you at WAM in College Park.

Register early and bring a friend!
