I like having the new stuff that an OS release and major announcement can bring us. But, getting speakers during that time, as we discovered, can be more than a bit of a challenge. Alas, I think we're back on track for our quarterly format and we're going to try like heck to make up for time lost.

We jump start back to reality with another of our very well recieved full day seminars, brought to us by the team of Jon Paris and Susan Gantner. Susan and Jon are by no means strangers to either WAM or the industry having collectively spent many years with IBM, speaking at technical conferences and user groups and now specializing in i5/OS education and training. Jon will be running point on our WAM evening meeting and presenting The Basics Of Web Programming with CGIDEV2. In this presentation we will see how you can convert printed reports to deliver them to your users via the browser. We'll see just how easy it is to convert these "reports" and extend their functionality to include graphics and links to other applications. We will introduce you to the basic mechanics of CGI programming using the powerful CGIDEV2 library available free of charge from IBM. You'll be amazed at how much IBM is actually giving away!
