President's Message By Don Rima

Well, as we learned a few weeks ago, V5R2 is finally here. There are some ongoing conference calls to help explain some more of the other items that are coming with the V5R2 rollout later this summer. Frankly, Rochester was so rushed to get the announcement out in April that the announcement letters weren't ready. So, expect perhaps a few more emails in the near future detailing things like the conference with Wayne Madden and others that I emailed you about this week.

This months meeting brings us some more insight into the ways that technology is changing. This time, Jeff Holzman from Lansa will be bringing us up to date on how wireless technology is being interfaced in the OS/400 environment. Trade and business periodicals are constantly talking about Blackberry or Palm type technologies. Now’s your chance to see how al this fits nicely with your OS/400 applications.
