President's Message from Peter Maher

Our April meeting will be on Tuesday April, 24th at the Westpark Hotel in Tysons Corner. We are privileged to have been selected as one of the first Users groups to receive an official IBM briefing on OS/400 v5r1. The announcement date is set for April 23rd and we are the following day. Our announcement will feature Ernest E. Jones iSeries400 Brand Sales Manager.

Come hear the details about the latest release of OS/400 v5r1. We'll go into a overview of the new release and new features in the operating system, Websphere, DB2, RPG, JAVA, Security, internet connectivity and alot more that Rochester won't let me talk about before the announcement date of April 23.

Ernest has been with IBM since 1996 he began as an Advisory AS/400 Sales Specialist where a highlight was his time spent in support of the Atlanta Olympics. Since July 1998 Ernest has been a Sales Executive for Midrange Products mid Atlantic Region.

Ernest promises that he will have a presentation that is chock full of the most up to date information. So come on out for a highly informative meeting.
