ITV is a UK based television channel network that was started in the late ’60s as a group of regional channels that showed regional news and information in Britain, Scotland and the neighboring areas of UK. This network had different franchises that took care of weekdays and weekends services. In February 2009 the company was unified to broadcast as one single network to save £ 40 Million. This channel is one of the most popular TV channels in the UK and used to content with BBC since the ’60s. In the new age of multi-channel television, the audience had fallen leading them to start broadcasting in more than one channel. the network now has 6 channels namely ITV1, ITV2, ITV3, ITV4, ITVBe, and CITV.
